Courtney Mauro Barker
Executive Director
A former dancer and choreographer for Ballet San Antonio, Courtney Mauro Barker brings to the company an insight into both the performing arts and the local business community. She is a licensed real estate agent with extensive finance, marketing and sales experience gained during six years with the Phyllis Browning Company. Born and raised in San Antonio, Barker has invested her know-how into new initiatives that are strengthening Ballet San Antonio’s outreach, visibility and partnerships across South Texas.
Prior to her promotion to Executive Director in January 2011, Barker served as the company’s Director of Community Relations (2009-2010) and as Ballet Mistress (2007-2009). Barker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
