In an effort to further our mission to make dance accessible to all, we are providing a film version of our 2021 performance of The Nutcracker, free of charge to ALL Texas schools. Our goal, is for every child in San Antonio and across Texas, regardless of geographic and/or economic barriers, to experience the magic and the joy of Ballet San Antonio’s The Nutcracker.

STUDENT MATINEES
Experience the timeless story of Ballet San Antonio’s The Nutcracker! Our student matinee performances, featuring Act II and danced by the professional dancers of Ballet San Antonio are perfect for children and school field trips! This performance is an abbreviated performance of approximately 1 hour featuring Act II. This showing of The Nutcracker event has different pricing from the full length performances and is not part of the subscriptions.

Children’s Cast auditions for Ballet San Antonio’s 2023 production of The Nutcracker are open to children ages 6-18. Shine as a Party Child, go to battle as a soldier, defend the Rat Queen as a mouse, greet the Sugar Plum Fairy as an angel, or delight Clara as a Polichinelle!

SENSORY FRIENDLY SHOW

Our sensory friendly performance, featuring Act II and danced by the professional dancers of Ballet San Antonio, is specifically designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities. Due to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, this performance is free to attend. Tickets are required.

A Fairytale Classic
The holidays aren’t complete until you experience the magic of Ballet San Antonio’s The Nutcracker! Make the journey with us through the Land of Snow and Sweets as this magical holiday tradition brings all kinds of dream characters to life: Nutcracker Prince, Clara, Mouse Queen, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum Fairy. This production features a children’s cast of more than 100 San Antonio area children, live music by the CMI Orchestra, San Antonio community heroes in the role of Mother Ginger and is a magical holiday tradition for our community and their families!
