Emma Town began dancing at the age of three in Dunedin, Florida. She started her formal dance training at the age of 12 at The Patel Conservatory in Tampa under the direction of Peter Stark. At 16, Town began training with the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School under the direction of Ariel Serrano, Wilmian Hernandez and Delia Ballart. She is one of the few American dancers to be coached by Ramona De Saa, the director of The National Ballet School in Cuba.

Town was awarded top 12 at the Youth American Grand Prix twice and awarded 3rd place at both the Universal Ballet Competition and The International Ballet Competition in Havana Cuba. After graduating in 2015, she joined Milwaukee Ballet II performing various roles in Michael Pink’s Dracula, Mirror Mirror, and The Nutcracker and Septime Webre’s Alice in Wonderland. In 2018, she joined Nashville Ballet II and performed Western Symphony, Swan Lake, and The Nutcracker as well as new works by Colby Demond and Christopher Stuart.

Since joining Ballet San Antonio, Emma performed roles such as Snow Queen and Arabian in The Nutcracker, a harlot in Edwaard Liang’s Romeo and Juliet, and the Cheshire Cat in Brian Enos’s Alice in Wonderland.

This is her second season with Ballet San Antonio.
