At sixteen years old she moved away from home and began training at Sarasota Ballet, and then the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School. During her two years at SCBS she performed numerous roles, including Talisman Pas de Deux, the Sugarplum Fairy, and Medora in Le Corsaire. Her most memorable accolade was receiving the bronze medal in advanced female variations at the “23rd Competencia Internacional de Escuelas de Ballet” in Havana, Cuba.  She had the opportunity to perform many Corps de Ballet and Demi-Soloist roles this past season in The Nutcracker and Carmen.
