THE TRAINING TO BECOMING A PROFESSIONAL DANCER STARTS HERE
The School of Ballet San Antonio is the official school of Ballet San Antonio. SBSA provides dancers age 3 and above, the opportunity to work with our professional staff to emphasize the French curriculum of musicality, sound technique and a strong focus on alignment of the body.
- Led with 30 Years of Experience by World Renowned Dancer and Instructor, Sofiane Sylve.
- The only school in San Antonio affliated with a professional ballet company, Ballet San Antonio.
- Pre-Professional training for the aspiring dancer ages 2-18.
- An experienced faculty composed of former and current professional dancers, trained in the SBSA curriculum.
- Opputunities throughout the year to audition for company productions, held at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.

June Session
JUNE 6TH-JUNE 25TH, Pre-ballet – level 5
The School of Ballet San Antonio offers a comprehensive curriculum designed for dancers Pre-Ballet through Level 5, plus a new class “Dance with Me 2+”. Check out the class schedule and register below.
Summer Camp
JULY 11TH-29TH, 2022, 3-12 years old
In SBSA Summer Camp students will spend a fun week learning what is involved in making a ballet from start to finish. Each week will start with learning the story of the ballet, and conclude with an in-studio showcase. Their day will include Ballet, Creative Movement, Choreography, Set Design, and Costume Design.
Summer Studies
JULY 11TH-29TH, 2022 – 12 & UP
SBSA Summer Studies offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in challenging and diverse daily training for 3 weeks. Classes offered include, Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Boys Class, Contemporary, Jazz, Choreography, Pilates, Strength and Conditioning, Dance History, and Nutrition.

MEET THE DIRECTOR
Sofiane Sylve
Sofiane became a professional dancer at the age of 14, dancing as a Principal Dancer for some of the most prestigious ballet companies in the world, including SFB (San Francisco Ballet), NYCB (New York City Ballet) and HNB (Het National Ballet). Through proper training and technique, her body has allowed her to dance professionally for more than 30 years. This experience and training is integrated into the work of the professional company and the curriculum of the School of Ballet San Antonio, where Sofiane works each day to inspire the next generation of dancers.
