Michael Agudelo began his training at Ballet Spartanburg under the guidance of Carlos Agudelo and Lona Gomez. He continued with the Harid Conservatory, the South Carolina Governor’s for the Arts & Humanities under Varna Gold Medalist Stanislav Issaev, and as a Trainee with Joffrey Ballet. 

In 2010, he won second place in the Youth America Grand Prix Regionals and competed as a finalist at Youth American Grand Prix in New York. 

With Milwaukee Ballet II he performed in Michael Pink’s, The Nutcracker, Dracula and Peter Pan. Agudelo also danced four seasons with Minnesota Ballet in such roles as Renfield in Dracula, Cavalier and Nutcracker Prince in the “Manhattan” Nutcracker, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pyotr in Firebird, and Prince Charmant in Sleeping Beauty. 

This is Agudelo’s third season with Ballet San Antonio and his second as a Soloist. Since joining, he has performed roles such as Basilio in Don Quixote, Albrecht in Giselle, Cavalier in The Nutcracker, Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty, Siegfried in the Black Swan Pas de Deux, as well as principal roles in many contemporary works.
