Rafael Ferreras received his early ballet training in New York with the Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Joffrey Ballet School. 

Audiences know him for his principal roles in Romeo and Juliet, Dracula, The Firebird, Le Corsaire, A Midsummers Night’s Dream, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella.

While dancing with Ballet Memphis, Tulsa Ballet, Hartford Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, and Elisa Monte Dance. He’s performed works by notable choreographers such as Mark Godden, Paul Taylor, Nacho Duato, Trey McIntyre, Kirk Peterson, Arthur Mitchell, George Balanchine, and Elisa Monte to name a few.

Ferreras’ career has also extended to teaching and choreography. He has choreographed works for Ballet Memphis including debuting his first mainstage performance of Politics in New York City in 2005.
