Perform with the Pros

SBSA students have the unique and exciting opportunity to perform with Ballet San Antonio’s professional company in full-scale productions at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.

Students also showcase their growth in our Annual Spring Showcase, and may participate in other community performances with the professional company throughout the year.

This kind of access to professional productions is rare — and unforgettable for young dancers.

Our Faculty

Most of our faculty is made up of Ballet San Antonio’s professional company dancers — seasoned performers with a passion for teaching. In every class, students learn from the same artists they see on stage, gaining personal attention, expert training, and real-world inspiration.

Whether your child is dancing for joy or aiming for a professional path, they'll be mentored by teachers who are not only experts in their craft, but deeply committed to nurturing confidence, discipline, and love of movement in every student.

Three Tracks: Find Your Path

PRE-BALLET

FOR AGES 2-7

Up to age 7, all students participate in our Pre-Ballet Program, where they build foundational coordination, rhythm, and imagination through movement. A fun, age-appropriate curriculum offers joy in pink leotards and lots of smiles.

Enrollment is open — no placement required.

PRE-PROFESSIONAL

FOR AGES 8-18

For students with the passion and commitment to pursue a future in dance, our Pre-Professional Track offers structured, rigorous training in ballet and related disciplines — all led by an experienced faculty, including current dancers from Ballet San Antonio.

In addition to ballet class, students in this track are required to attend additional classes to augment their studies. Modern and Pilates Classes is required for all students in Levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Pointe Class is required for girl Levels 4, 5 and 6.

Placement required for enrollment.

RECREATIONAL

FOR AGES 7-18

For dancers ages 7–18 who enjoy the beauty and discipline of ballet without the goal of becoming a professional dancer, SBSA offers a Recreational track within Levels 1–6. Recreational students train alongside their peers in the same level but attend fewer classes per week. This path allows students to experience high-quality training and the joy of ballet in a way that complements their individual goals and broader interests.
