Send The Kids To The Ballet

SEND THE KIDS
TO THE BALLET

The Send The Kids To The Ballet Initiative allows Ballet San Antonio to provide tickets and transportation for organizations such as Haven for Hope, the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio, Girls Inc., and Roy Maas Youth Alternatives to be able to bring their children to the ballet in the 2024-25 season, at no cost to them.

At Ballet San Antonio, our goal is to provide these children an experience they would otherwise not have considering their personal, economic and geographic challenges. In the 2022-23 season, our partnership with the Roy Maas Youth Alternatives organization has proven to be a rewarding success, bringing 50 of their children to each production!

Now, we want to expand this program to further serve the organizations that care for the children in our community across Bexar County. If we can give just one of these children a chance to dream again, we will have made a difference.

Our Vision

The future of the “Send The Kids To The Ballet” program envisions a transformative impact on our community, broadening access to the arts for children and fostering a love for dance that transcends socioeconomic and geographic barriers. By expanding our reach, we aim to collaborate with more schools, community centers, and youth organizations, that as many children as possible have the opportunity to experience the magic of ballet.

Our goal is to not only provide tickets but also to create comprehensive educational programs that include pre-show workshops, meet-and-greet sessions with dancers, and hands-on activities that bring the art of ballet to life. Through these efforts, we aspire to inspire the next generation of artists, patrons, and supporters, cultivating a vibrant and inclusive arts community that values and celebrates the transformative power of ballet.
