Access, Joy, and Belonging—One Ticket at a Time

Each season, through our Send the Kids to the Ballet program, we provide free tickets and transportation to children from schools and community groups who would otherwise not have access, considering their personal, economic and geographic challenges. Many of these children are attending a ballet for the very first time.

Since launching in the 2024–25 season, Ballet San Antonio has served more than 10,000 children through our accessibility program.

Building on that impact, during the 2026–27 season we will provide at least 5,000 free tickets to children and their chaperones through partnerships with schools and youth organizations across San Antonio. By opening the door to live performance and artistic expression, we aim to spark imagination and possibility—because when children are given the chance to dream, it can make a lasting difference.

“It is such an amazing experience for our kids who would probably not have the ability to experience this if they were back home. While this is sad to realize, it is also joyful to know because of partners such as Ballet San Antonio, memories are being created each time our kids attend a performance. Thank you!”
