Ching Ching Wong
Manila- born Chinese Filipino American choreographer celebrated for her versatility in the dance world. A recipient of the Princess Grace Award in Dance and named one of Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch, her work centers on delight, humanity, maximalist aesthetics, and an obsessive interest in storytelling. She has created works for Louisville Ballet in collaboration with rapper Jack Harlow, Boulder Ballet, The Rosin Box Project, Northwest Dance Project, SALT Contemporary Dance, Backhaus Dance, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s CREATE intensive. This season, LED Boise will present her first full evening of work. As rehearsal director for Ballets Jazz Montréal, she toured internationally, stewarding works by Crystal Pite, Aszure Barton, Ihsan Rustem, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Juliano Nuñes, and Andonis Foniadakis. She has also staged Rustem’s choreography for Bern Ballet, Thüringer Staatsballett, Mecklenburg Staatstheater, Codarts, Rambert School, Taiwan University of the Arts, Tanzwerk101, Valencia Dancing Forward Spain, and Moving Arts Cincinnati.
