Sofia Marquez

Sofia Marquez is from South Florida and began training pre-professionally at age 13 with Fort Lauderdale Youth Ballet under German Dager. She later moved on to train under the direction of Magaly Suarez at The Art of Classical Ballet and continued her training with The Orlando Ballet as a Trainee under Christopher Alloways-Ramsey.
Sofia started Pas de Deux training at a young age under the instruction of Carlos Ignacio Galindez. During this time, she had the opportunity to perform several Pas De Deuxs such as Paquita, Clara’s Pas, Black Swan, Diana and Actaeon, Arabian, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum.
She attended many summer programs on scholarship such as Russian Ballet Orlando, Butler University, Utah University, Cosmopolitan Ballet Theater, Rock School of Dance, and Orlando Ballet.
Throughout Sofia’s training she also received instruction from Rolando Sarabia, Ibis Montoto, Natasha Glos, Gonzalo Espinoza, and Amyia Burrell.
